Francine Sanderson

Jerri Francine Sanderson was born at Harris Hospital in Ft. Worth, Texas on April 8, 1940 to Pat and Jerri McCoy. She passed away peacefully Wednesday morning March 20, 2024 about 11:00 am. She went to her heavenly home surrounded by family.

Francine grew up on a small farm in Everman, then moved to Paris Street in south Ft. Worth with her parents and 5 siblings: Terry, Ronnie, Tahaima, Gayle, and Terryca.

Francine attended Poly High School where she participated in Junior Achievement and earned an acting role on a TV production at KTVT Channel 11. She took Home Economics at Poly and excelled at sewing and crafts. Later in life she became a master seamstress and crafter for a second career.

Francine graduated in 1958 and soon after married the love of her life, James Sanderson. They bought a house in south Ft. Worth where they lived for the next 30 years. Francine worked a few years in retail and then found her place at Harris Hospital for the next 34 years. After retirement, Francine opened a sewing and quilt shop in Whitney doing what she loved. She had 2 children, Kim and Tim, who she loved dearly and was devoted to. Francine loved her family and was a loving grandmother of 5 and great-grandmother of 7. She was a giving person that was ready to help anyone that needed it. Francine was an active member of the Soroptimist Club of Ft. Worth and also served as its president. In 1987, Francine and James moved to their dream house in Lake Whitney, Texas where they lived until the death of James in 2019. Francine and James travelled often and loved all of the birds and wildlife around them. They spent their time watching grandkids activities and doted on all of them.

Francine was preceded in death by her husband, James Sanderson, her parents Jerri and Pat McCoy, her brother Terry McCoy, her son Timothy Sanderson.
