Linda (Stephens) Campbell

Linda Gay Campbell (Stephens) was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on April 10, 1944 to Harold & Helen (Daggett) Stephens. She passed away peacefully early Thursday morning (6:10 am) April 4, 2024 (6 days shy of her 80th birthday). She transcended to her heavenly home surrounded by her family.
Linda grew up in Aransas Pass with her parents and sister Etta Kay Stephens.
In 1960 the family moved to Crane Texas where she met James L. Campbell in April 1961. She graduated from Crane High in May 1962 and married James L. Campbell June 9, 1962. They had 2 children Stephen Daggett Campbell July 18, 1964 and Valerie Ann Campbell April 9, 1967.
She loved all animals big & small. She got her first horse (Twinkletoes) in 1954 and developed a passion for riding. She had a knack for rescuing & saving animals such as baby raccoons, squirrels, skunks, along with a sparrow, crow, seagull and an owl.
Linda & James accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord & Savior in December 1975.
She enjoyed traveling via planes, trains, motorhome, cruises etc. She got to see many beautiful places.
She was an amazing daughter, wife, mother, grandmother & great grandmother. She was a very loving, caring, beautiful lady with eyes & a smile that would brighten anyone's day.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents Harold & Helen Stephens and her first born granddaughter Kandice Ann Hutchison Campbell.
She is survived by her husband James L. Campbell, and their two children Stephen D. Campbell, Valerie A. Campbell Bieker & husband Randy Bieker & her sister Etta Kay Stephens.
Grandchildren Kassandra Gay Bishop & husband, and Kamryn Michelle Ables & husband.
Five great grandchildren Tinley Ann Ables (11 years), Tatum Rae Ables (5 years), Ryker Broly Bishop (4 years), Isla Kadince Bishop (1 year 9 months), Teagan Michelle Ables (4 months)
Linda and her beauty will forever live in our hearts.
