BURLESON -- Aaron Estel "Pappy" Sells, 88, of Burleson, a retired aircraft assembler for General Dynamics and Bell Helicopter entered his heavenly home on Saturday, Sept. 22, 2007 in Fort Worth. Funeral: 10 a.m. Wednesday in Mountain Valley Funeral Home Chapel in Burleson. Burial: Prairie Springs Cemetery in Burleson. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Mounain Valley Funeral Home. Mr. Sells was born Sept. 9, 1919, in Overton County, Tenn., to John Newton and Maude Parrott Sells. He grew up in Johnson County and proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II in both Pacific and European theaters. He married Bertha Grace Burkeen on Dec. 9, 1944, in Hattiesburg, Miss. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who loved the Lord, his family, and was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ. He was a member of Cana Baptist Church in Burleson where he served as a deacon. He was preceded in death by his parents; and grandsons, Timothy and Terry Sells. Survivors: Wife of 62 years, Bertha Sells of Burleson; sons, Gene Sells and wife, Lynne of Alvarado, Donny Sells and wife, Georgia of Burleson, Roger Sells ad wife, Janis of Arlington; grandchildren, Jeff, Tony, Tammie, John, Pam, Sharie, Cyndy, Jay; 13 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
