BURLESON -- Albin "Al" Sylvester Kolar, 72, of Burleson, a retired business owner, passed away Saturday, Aug. 14, 2010, in Fort Worth after a lengthy illness with Alzheimer's disease. Funeral: 11 a.m. Tuesday in Mountain Valley Funeral Home Chapel. Interment: Burleson Memorial Park in Burlson. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home. Albin was born Dec. 31, 1937, in West to Frank R. and Annie E. Gerik Kolar. He was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Albin proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He loved fishing, working and just spending time with his family. Albin was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Kathin V. Kolar; his parents; son, Lynn Kolar; four sisters; and four brothers. Survivors: Sons, Doyle Kolar of Alaska and James Morris of Cleburne; daughter, Gloria Roe and husband, Danny, of Whitney; sisters, Angeline Kolar and Annie Mae Marek; brothers, Alfons Kolar, Raymond Kolar and Johnny Kolar and wife, Edda, all of West; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; extended family; and friends.
