Alice Lorene Lewis Green

Alice Lorene Lewis Green, 94, of Mesa, Ariz., a retired beauty shop owner, died Tuesday, June 29, 2010, in Mesa. Funeral: 7 p.m. Friday in Mountain Valley Funeral Home Chapel in Burleson. Private interment: Bethesda Cemetery, Burleson. Visitation: 6 to 7 p.m. Friday. Mrs. Green was born May 7, 1916, in Johnson County to Dudley Clyde and Etta Bird Lewis. She married Ray Green on June 9, 1934, in Glen Rose. She was a former member of The Lighthouse Church in Burleson and a current member of Living Word of God Bible Church in Mesa, Ariz. She loved teaching Bible class and studying the word of God, and was very involved in her church. She was preceded in death by her husband in 2002 and three brothers, Grant, Clyde and Archie Lewis. Survivors: Daughter, Clydene Gunnerson and husband, Don, of Mesa, Ariz.; grandchildren, Deana and Belinda; great-grandchildren, Ben, Gunner, Travis, Amanda and Tyce; and numerous nieces and nephews.
