JOSHUA -- Allen H. Millican, 83, a retired business owner, died Monday, June 26, 2006, in Keene. Funeral: 10 a.m. Thursday in Mountain Valley Funeral Home Chapel. Burial: Cahill Cemetery in Alvarado. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home. Allen Harley Millican was born June 30, 1922, in Seale to Elger and Lela Hudgins Millican. He married Frances Hester on June 2, 1956, in Weatherford. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. He enjoyed fishing, playing 42 and playing the fiddle. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; a sister; a son, John Kearns; and a granddaughter, Sheryl Bonaventura. Survivors: Wife of 50 years, Frances Millican of Joshua; son, Ronald Kearns of Quartsite, Ariz.; daughters, Pam Yost and husband, Lefty, of Idaho Spring, Colo., Connie Simmons of Spring, Sandy Bonaventura and husband, Jim, of Cleburne and Sharon Jackson and husband, John, of Burleson; brother, Bill Millican and wife, Bonnie, of Houston; sisters-in-law, Ester and Barbara Millican; 12 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; many other family members; and faithful friend, BB.
