Alton Baylor Collins

Alton Collins, 87, of Joshua, passed away peacefully with his family by his side, Saturday, April 26, 2014, at his residence, Town Hall estates of Keene. Funeral Service: 2PM Wednesday, April 30, Mountain Valley Funeral Home Chapel, Pastor Jerry Clements officiating. Visitation: 6-8PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial: Greenwood Memorial Park, Fort Worth. Alton was born July 17, 1926, in Lyford, to Cleater and Mollie (Owen)Collins. He was a Master Tile Setter, and owner of ABC Tile Co. of Dallas. After selling ABC, he began building homes. Alton loved to hunt, fish, travel, sing, and spend quality time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents; son Jackie Lynn Collins; daughter, Martha Frances Cox; 3 sisters; and a brother.Survivors: loving wife, Bonnie Collins; daughters, Judy Leverton, Carlotta Lucas, and husband Rick; grandchildren, Karl Kuykendall, Stacy Repp, Christopher Lucas, Shannon Leverton, Keith Kuykendall, Selina Guthrie, Justin Lucas; 7 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters; and 3 brothers. Also left to cherish his memory are Bonnie's extended family, Cliff, Donald, Jack, and Pam Robison, 5 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and a host of other loving friends.
