Alvie "Pinky" Bledsoe, 90, of Burleson, passed away Sunday, May 1, 2016. He was born Feb. 24, 1926. Graveside services: 2 p.m. Thursday, May 5, 2016, at Green Acres Cemetery in Cleburne. Visitation: 4-6 p.m. Wednesday, May 4, at Mountain Valley Funeral Home. Pinky loved building, fishing and taking care of his girls. He owned Bledsoe Construction for 46 years. Pinky was a U.S. Navy veteran, he served on USS Savo Island Aircraft Carrier. Pinky was known for his story telling, especially his war stories. Alvie is survived by his wife of 69 years, Helen Bledsoe of Burleson; son-in-law, Paul Babb of Burleson; granddaughter, Heather Storey of Burleson; great-granddaughters, Haleigh Helcl and husband, Cody, Skylar Storey and Delaney Storey, all of Burleson; great-great-granddaughter, Sailor Avery Helcl; and sisters, Betty Weeks and Norma McKiddy, both of Tecumseh, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Evelyn Babb, and sister, Judy Brown.
