CLEBURNE -- Andrew "Joe" Harman, 71, a master carpenter, passed away Monday, Aug. 11, 2008, in Fort Worth. Funeral: 10 a.m. Wednesday at Bethesda Baptist Church. Interment: Caddo Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home. Joe was born Aug. 6, 1937, in Winert to William Roy and Gracie Stephens Harman. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Joe married Lana Baker on Nov. 3, 1958, in Copperas Cove. Joe proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a longtime member and served as a deacon for many years at Bethesda Baptist Church. Joe loved fishing, hunting, reading and working. He loved his grandchildren very much and delighted in helping them grow. Joe coached boxing for Burleson and Joshua Boys Club from 1966-1972. Survivors: Wife, Lana Harman of Cleburne; son, Max Harman and wife, Carrie, of Joshua; daughters, Karen Ficklin of Fort Worth, Delene Bennett of Fort Worth; sister, Dean Flory and husband, John, of Shelby, N.C.; numerous nieces and nephews; extended family and friends; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
