Arthie Lee "Tennie" Griffin

BURLESON -- Arthie "Tennie" Lee Griffin, 74, of Burleson, a homemaker, died Friday, May 21, 2010, in Fort Worth. Funeral: 10 a.m. Wednesday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home Chapel. Interment: Peoria Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home. Tennie was born June 15, 1935, in Alvarado to Ernest Felton and Mary Artlee Whitley Looney. Tennie was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved crocheting, cooking and bowling. She also loved her dog named Honey. Tennie was a very kind and caring person. She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton Griffin, in 2005. Survivors: Son, Phillip Griffin of Godley; daughter, Candy Goldsmith of Burleson; sister, Geraldine Callaway and husband, Melvin, of Burleson; grandchildren, Natasha Bivens of Everman, Aaron Griffin of Burleson, Brandon Griffin of Cleburne; great-grandchilden, Julian Bivens, Caine Bivens; extended family; and friends.
