Barbara Ann (Mahon) Couk

Barbara Ann Couk, 71, of Burleson passed away Sunday, October 11, 2015. Barbara was born on November 6, 1943 in Colorado City, TX to Royce and Margaret (McWilliams) Mahon. Her grandchildren were the love of her life. Barbara's instinct as a humanitarian and selfless giver made her an extremely loved person by all who were graced by her presence. Barbara's position as matriarch to her loved ones perfectly exhibits her personal poise and inherent ability to be a positive force in their lives. She displayed her altruistic concerns with her passionate efforts at Huguley hospital as an administrative assistant for 32 years. Her magnanimous and courageous spirit earned her respect and love among colleagues and friends alike. Barbara was a member of Peacemakers of Stitch Group of The Arlington Quilt Guild, and Open Door Church of Burleson. She was loved by many special friends in her life. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Charles C. Couk Jr. Survivors: daughter, Michele DeWolf of Mansfield, granddaughters, Alyson DeWolf, and Alaina DeWolf, of Mansfield, brother, James Mahon, and wife Sandra, of Sherman sisters, Cindy Mahon of Fort Worth, Susan Hill and husband Rick, of Sherman, and numerous nieces and nephews.
