Barbara Jo (Galyardt) Cumbie, age 72, March 24, 2017 left her family and friends with memories of her generous, gregarious, and fun-loving personality. Graveside Services: 10 AM Wednesday, March 29, Rosehill Cemetery, Cleburne. Visitation: 6-8 PM, March 28th, Mountain Valley Funeral Home. Barbie was born in Dodge City, Kansas in 1944. She graduated from high school in Midland. Barbie and Bill were active members of Pathway Church in Burleson. She worked for various insurance agencies in Fort Worth, Burleson, and the surrounding area. Barbie seldom met a stranger, her smile and willingness to help was evident in her daily life. Her hand-painted watercolors and oils grace her home while flowers and plants flourish in her gardens. Most of all, her grandchildren were her greatest joy. Preceding Barbie in death are her parents, Ervin and Louise Galyardt; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Brown and Mary Cumbie. Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Bill Cumbie; son, Glen Cumbie and wife, Angela; grandson, Chase Cumbie; granddaughter, Courtney Cumbie; sister, Judy Roberts and husband, James; brother-in-law, Joe Cumbie and wife, Janie; nephews and nieces; longtime friends Jan and Bill Keeling and Marianne Walker.
