Barbara Ann Karl

Barbara Ann Karl, 73, passed away Monday, August 2, 2021 at Harris Hospital after a major surgery.  She was surrounded by loving family and friends.

Barbara was born in Harris County to Billy Sue Bradford and Ruben Henry Jaecks on October 7, 1947.  Barbara was a beautician in Fort Worth for over 40 years.  She volunteered at local nursing homes doing hair.  She volunteered for Relay for Life Breast Cancer Walk annually.  She delivered handmade blankets to Cooks Children’s Hospital Neonatal for the children annually for 20 years.  She was an avid bowler and won money on Bowling for Dollars.

She loved traveling, crafting, cooking, and volunteering.  She loved people and was full of life.  She always had a smile and could always make you laugh.  She especially loved the holidays.  Barbara was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  She had countless lifetime friends and was always there when they needed her.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Billy Sue Bradford and Ruben Henry Jaecks; daughter, Laura Sue Vess.  Barbara is survived by her sons Donny Vess and wife Terry, David Vess; grandchildren, Dawnyel Vess with baby girl on the way.  Dy’jon Vess, Donovan Vess, Dustin Vess, and Anna Bella Vess; great grandchildren Bentlee Vess, Daniel Vess, Rose Struzick, Daisy Sharp; brothers, James Jaecks and Bob Jaecks and wife Sherri; sister, Shirley Maxwell and spouse, Kim Sifferien.
