Barbara Jean McHargue Snell passed away peacefully surrounded by family on June 7, 2020. She was 81 years of age. She was born to Leonard and Ada McHargue, the youngest of their children. She grew up in Birome, Texas then later Axtell, Texas where she graduated from high school. She spent her young adult life in Washington state where she was avidly involved in raising, riding and showing horses. In addition, she remained an avid gardener and flower enthusiast all her life. She retired from TCU and forever remained devoted to all things Horned Frog and the Dallas Cowboys.
She is survived by daughter, Vanessa Lanzarotti and her husband, David Light, daughter Bernadette and her husband, Jake Frazier. Three grandchildren, Lauren and her husband, Christian Gordon, Jadon Frazier and Jacey Frazier and two great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Sallie Hand and a brother, Joe and his wife, Allene McHargue and numerous nieces and nephews, including Lesa and Mark Earhart, who along with Bernie, provided Babs with great loving care and support during her illness.
