Ben J. Welch Sr.

BURLESON -- Ben J. Welch Sr., 77, a retired material handler for Alcon, died Thursday, May 31, 2007, in Fort Worth. Graveside service: 10 a.m. Monday in Burleson Memorial Park. Visitation: 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home in Burleson. Mr. Welch was born April 13, 1930, in Hackberry to E.A. and Sammie O. Allison Welch. He married Dorothy Lomax on March 24, 1951, in Rock Springs. He enjoyed cooking barbecue and deer chili, and loved his grandkids and great-grandkids dearly. He was a Baptist. Survivors: Wife, Dorothy Welch of Burleson; son, Ben J. Welch Jr. and wife, Sandra, of Burleson; daughters, Donna Keating and husband, Mitchell, of Burleson and Debbie Finstad of Joshua; sister, Winnie Burgess of New Braunfels; grandchildren, Summer, Kayce and Jim; and great-grandchildren, Hunter, Trinity, Luke, Logan and Angel.
