CLEBURNE -- Betsy "Betty" Collins, 71, a homemaker, died Saturday, Aug. 13, 2005, at a Dallas hospital. Funeral: 10 a.m. Tuesday at First United Methodist Church in Joshua. Burial: Bethesda Cemetery in Burleson. Visitation: 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home in Burleson. Betsy J. Collins was born April 7, 1934, in Hood County to Giles and Lena Owen Ratliff. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Joshua and was active in the "Wednesday Nights Out" group. She also enjoyed quilting, dominoes and water aerobics. She was preceded in death by brother, Jack Ratliff; and her husband, Thomas A. Collins, in 1999. Survivors: Sons, Tommy Collins of Cleburne, Donald Collins and wife, Diane of Joshua; daughters, Becky Collins of Fort Worth, Rachel Webster and husband, Billy of Columbia, Tenn.; brothers, Bob Ratliff and Joe Ratliff, both of Granbury; sisters, Geraldine Massey of Kennedale, Corine Finley and husband, Houston of Granbury, Laura Willis and husband, Fred of Godley; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
