BURLESON -- Betty Jo Benton, 83, a retired manager in the western wear industry, died Friday, April 20, 2007, in Alvarado. Graveside service: 11 a.m. Monday in Burleson Memorial Park. Visitation: 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home in Burleson. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice. Mrs. Benton was born Dec. 4, 1923, in Cleburne to Frank and Robbie McClure North. She married Robert Carter "Bob" Benton on June 26, 1981, in Goldthwaite. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Burleson and was known as the garage sale lady. Survivors: Husband, Bob Benton of Burleson; daughters, Kay Robertson and husband, Bobby, of Fort Worth, Dana Shipp and husband, Gary, of Burleson, Jeanie of Cleburne; granddaughters, Colleen Voight and JoLynn Chapman; two grandsons; three stepgrandsons; and seven great-grandchildren.
