Betty Jo Jenkins

Betty Jo Jenkins, 84, of Burleson, a retired school teacher of 25 years, went home Wednesday, October 28, 2015, in Rendon. Service: 10am Monday, November 2, 2015 First Baptist Church of Burleson. Visitation: 3-5 pm Sunday November 1, 2015 Mountain Valley Funeral Home. Internment: Godley Cemetery, Godley, Tx. Betty was born on April 5, 1931 in Frost, Texas to Earl and Irene Ellington. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Betty graduated from Frost high school in 1949. Betty was a well-respected teacher in the business department at Burleson high school. Betty loved traveling, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Cecil (C.D) Jenkins in 2010. Survivors: daughter, Juli Gafford and husband Dwain, of Burleson, son, Kevin Jenkins and wife Sheila, of Aledo, granddaughter Brooke White and husband Don, grandsons, Matt Jenkins and wife Brittany, Josh Jenkins and wife Julie, six great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of family and friends.
