Betty Lee Nail, 85, of Burleson, a retired nurse, died Wednesday, July 21, 2010, in Leander. Funeral: 10 a.m. Saturday in Mountain Valley Funeral Home Chapel. Interment: Laurel Land Memorial Park, Fort Worth. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home. Betty was born March 29, 1925, in Port Arthur to Robert E. Sr. and Blanche Elizabeth West Lee. She married H.L. "Tack" Nail on May 30, 1953, in Port Arthur. She was a loving, caring, Christian woman who was very involved in volunteer work and always helped others. She enjoyed doing crafts, hobbies and traveling. She was a member of Burleson Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by a son, Larry Nail, in 2004; her husband in 2005; and a brother, Robert E. Lee Jr., in 2008. Survivors: Son, Keith Nail and wife, Gloria, of Weatherford; daughters, Sharon Derrington and husband, Steve, of Pflugerville and Athelyn Nail of Leander; sister, Roberta Murray and husband, Oliver, of Lufkin; grandchildren, Brian, Derek, Dustin and Michelle; and eight great-grandchildren.
