JOSHUA -- Betty Jean Tice Parks, 75, a homemaker of Joshua, died Friday, Sept. 21, 2007, in Fort Worth. Funeral: 10 a.m. Monday in Mountain Valley Funeral Home Chapel in Burleson. Burial: Caddo Cemetery in Joshua. Visitation: 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home. Mrs. Parks was born Jan. 24, 1932, in Tarrant County to Alfred O. and Thelma Dahn Tice. She married Samuel L. Parks on Jan. 22, 1975, in Rendon. She enjoyed fishing, camping and was a Baptist. Survivors: Husband, Samuel L. Parks of Joshua; sons, Jimmy Wheeler and wife, Geneva of Joshua, Jerry Wheeler and wife, Judy of Wichita Falls, Tracy Wheeler and wife, Sara of Joshua; daughter, Sgt. Mary Stoner and husband, Patrick of Fort Belvoir, Va.; brothers, Earl Tice and wife, Chris of Maybank, Bob Tice of Morgan Mill, Tommy Tice and wife, Judy of Burleson; sister, Barbara Hubbard of Cleburne; seven grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; three great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
