Betty Lou Slawson

A memorial service for Betty Slawson, 92, of Burleson will be conducted at 2 p.m. Jan. 31, 2022, at the Mountain Valley Funeral Home.

Betty Lou Slawson passed away Friday, Jan. 15, 2022, in Fort Worth. She was born April 14, 1929, in Fort Worth, TX, to Leonard Langford and Elba Wheeler Langford.

Betty was a teacher, wife, mother and business owner until her husband Bob retired. Betty attended the United Methodist Church and was a member of the Co-Workers Class for many years.

Survivors include sons, John Slawson and wife, Barbara, and James Slawson and wife, Wanda; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Slawson; brother, Alvin Langford; and sister, Janet Lantrip.
