Bill Ellis, 77, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2010, after a lengthy battle with Parkinson's disease. Today he stands before the Lord with no more pain, perfect just as he was created in God's image. Funeral: 2 p.m. Friday at Hallmark Baptist Church, Fort Worth. Interment: Caddo Cemetery, Joshua. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home. Bill was born Jan. 28, 1933, to William and Della Mae Ellis in Buffalo Gap. He was the youngest of eight children. As a longtime Abilene-area resident, he met and married his wife, Jane, in 1962 and they had two sons. He worked in the movie theater industry and was transfered to the Dallas-Fort Worth area. They raised their family in Joshua. Bill was devoted to his family, friends, his church and his organizations, Lions Club, Optimist Club and Huguley Hospital Volunteers. He enjoyed family and friends gathering at their lake house in Whitney. He loved the time he would spend with his six grandsons. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, all siblings and their spouses. Survivors: Wife, Jane of Burleson; sons, Larry and wife, Kelly, of Burleson and David and wife, Amy, of Temple; and grandsons, Tyler, Josh, Hunter, Chandler, Zachary and Kendall.
