Bill Gene Mcguire

Bill McGuire, 65, of Joshua, passed away June 30, 2018. He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Dorothy McGuire, grandson, Jonathan McGuire. Visitation: July 3, 2018 from 6-8pm at Mountain Valley Funeral Home. Bill was in the Navy and the Army reserve. He was a private pilot. Bill loved to play and listen to Bluegrass music. Drag-racing was a big part of his life. Bill loved his family very much. He survived cancer twice. Bill married his wife, Vicky (Hollis), of 46 years, on September 3, 1971. Survivors: wife, Vicky (Hollis) McGuire, of Joshua; daughters, Alicia and husband Tray, of Forestburg, Laura and husband Aaron of San Antonio; sons, Michael G. and wife, Kesha of Grand Prairie, Terry L. and wife Susan, of San Antonio, Michael J. McGuire of Phoenix, AZ; grandchildren, Andrew, Scott, Ethan, Jessica, Tristen, Christopher, Korbin, Aaron, Allyssa, Ashley; sisters, Karlyn and husband Ray Pierce, Terrie and husband Kim Race; A very special friend who was more like a brother, Ronnie Cash; numerous loving extended family and friends. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to your favorite Cancer organization or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
