Billy Wayne Knight, 69 of Burleson, a retired machinist for Hiedleburg-Harris Corp. died Tuesday Feb. 3, 2009 at his residence in Burleson. Graveside Service: 2:00 P.M. Friday in Burleson Memorial Park. Visitation: 6-8 P.M. Thursday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home. Billy Wayne Knight was born June 21, 1939 in Tioga, Texas to Jesse James and Estelle Self Knight. He married Winona Hartis on June 18, 1957 in Ardmore, Okla. Billy enjoyed shooting at the target range, was an avid Harley enthusiast, and loved NASCAR. He was preceded in death by a son, Jesse Lee Knight. Survivors: Winona Knight of Burleson; daughter, Sharlene Schreiner and husband Mark of Burleson; sister, Linda Knight of Joshua; grandchildren, Tanya Hartley and husband, Cody of Burleson, Marcus Schreiner of Burleson; great grandchildren, Jesse James Hartley of Burleson, Demi Grace Grider of Keller; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
