BEN WHEELER -- Billy Overfield, 86, of Ben Wheeler passed away Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2016. Service: 1 p.m. Saturday in Mountain Valley Funeral Home Chapel, with Troy Brewer and Andy Daly officiating. Interment: Holyrood Cemetery in Montlake Terrace, Wash. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Billy was born June 27, 1929, in Parma, Mo., to Henry Overfield and Nellie Myrick. Billy loved church and worked at the food outreach. He retired from the U.S. Navy. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, cutting trees down, gardening, barbecueing and watching football. Survivors: Sons, Gary Overfield and wife, Cathy, and David Overfield and wife, Lesa; daughters, Holly Dotson and husband, Bill, Debbie Sykes, Delsa Copeland and husband, Robert, Hilary Sahimi and husband, Samuel, and Billie Jean Hedges; sister, June Mitchell; brother, Doyle Overfield and wife, Brenda; 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
