BURLESON -- Ruth Cleveland, 86, a retired unit secretery for All Saints Hospital in Fort Worth, died Thursday, December 15, 2005 in Fort Worth. Funeral: 2:00 p.m. Monday at the Burleson Church of Christ in Burleson. Burial: Burleson Memorial Park in Burleson. Visitation: 2-4 p.m. Sunday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home in Burleson. Billye Ruth Cleveland was born April 7, 1919 in Albany, Oklahoma to John Thomas and Stella Blackburn Tigner. She married O.W. Pete Cleveland on May 14, 1938. Ruth was a very patriotic person who loved her family dearly, especially her grandkids. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, gardening, the Texas Rangers, and the Dallas Cowboys. She was a lifelong member of the Burleson Church of Christ and fed a lot of people. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, a daughter, Gay Lynn, brothers, Don and Mann Tigner, and a sister, Hazel Hays. Survivors: Sons, O.W. "Smokey" Cleveland of Burleson, Max Cleveland and wife, Debbie of Tom, Oklahoma, Hal Cleveland and wife, Judy of Burleson; sister, Ina Henson of Ada, Oklahoma; 6 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and 1 great grandchild.
