Bobby D. Smith

Bobby D. Smith, 66, passed away November 16, 2014, in Fort Worth. Service: 1:00 PM, Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at Mountain Valley Funeral Home. Interment: Burleson Memorial Park. Visitation: 6-8 PM, Tuesday at the Funeral Home. Bobby was born March 4, 1948, in Fort Worth to Bobbie and Juanita (Collins) Smith. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. Bobby retired after 44 years at Bell Helicopter as Director of Military Contracts. After retirement, he enjoyed family, travel, and building. He always had a new project. Then, he was asked to join some of his lifelong colleagues to consult with AVX Aircraft. Bobby was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church of Burleson. He graduated from Burleson High School and attended UTA in Arlington. Bobby was preceded in death by his parents and son, Gregory (Scott) Smith. Survivors: wife, Donna Smith; daughter, Kimberly Smith; grandsons, Logan Stevenson and Tyler Smith; granddaughter, Ashton Smith; brother, Ron Smith and wife Linda; father-in-law, Jimmy Vinson; sister-in-law, Penny Moore and husband Derrell; many nieces and nephews and loving extended family and friends.
