Byron "Lynn" Hoffman

Lynn was born November 7, 1937, in Fort Worth, Texas, and passed away Tuesday, September 7, 2021.

Memorial:  Tuesday, September 14, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at Mountain Valley Funeral Home in Joshua, Texas.

Lynn was the oldest of three and the only son of Novie and Mazelle Hoffman.  Lynn graduated from Burleson High School then went to work for Thomas Conveyor, Lone Star Gas and General Dynamics.  After that, he ran the Local Mobil Station in Burleson for over a decade.  He then started Hoffman Motors where he bought and sold vehicles.  Later, he worked at Huguley Retirement Center and Broadway Plaza.  Finally retiring from Burleson ISD.  Lynn was also a proud Mason at the Burleson Masonic Lodge #649.
Lynn married Johnnie Ruth Stone in 1958 and over the next 63 years they raised their children, enjoyed camping and family vacations.  Later on their most favorite thing to do was to spend time with their grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Lynn was an avid fisherman, hunter and poker player.  He and Johnnie have started many traditions over the years.  Those traditions have been passed on to their children and grandchildren who all carry on with those same traditions to this day, Christmas being the family's most favorite.
Lynn was preceded in death by his parents Novie and Mazelle Hoffman of Crowley; his sister Ann  Stambaugh of Rio Vista; his brothers-in-law Stan Stambaugh, Marvin Coppock and Herbert Nelson.
Lynn is survived by his wife Johnnie; son Randy and wife Shelly Hoffman; daughter Renee Hall; grandchildren Hobey and wife Kasey Hoffman; Haley and husband Brady Riley; great-grandchildren Kobey, Holdyn, Remi and Reece; sister Sherry Nelson; and many cherished extended family members.
