Carl Earl Pendergrass

Carl Earl Pendergrass, 87, of Joshua, passed away Monday, January 22, 2018. Funeral Services: 11AM Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Mountain Valley Funeral Home Chapel. No visitation scheduled. Interment: Caddo Cemetery in Joshua. Carl was born October 3, 1930, in Springfield, Missouri, to James and Ethel (Stewart) Pendergrass. He retired from the Air Force after 23 years of service. Carl then worked for the UT Arlington Police Department, later moved on to work for the Joshua Water Department. He loved to tell jokes and he never met a stranger. Carl loved dancing and music. He also loved to make everyone laugh. He was preceded in death by his wife, Velma Lou Pendergrass; son, Nicky Bert Yauger; and 2 brothers. Survivors: children, Jo Lynn Ross and husband, Ken of Georgetown, Marilyn Olmstead and husband, J.R. of California, Carla Reynolds and husband Mike of Joshua, also Rickey Pendergrass of Haltom City, daughter in law, Kim Yauger of Burleson; siblings, Ellen Berringer, Elaine Krammer, and Cleve Pendergrass; 12 grandchildren; numerous great and great-great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, extend family and friends.
