BURLESON -- Carol Crabtree Dickerson, 73, a retired insurance underwriter, went to be with our Lord on Sunday, March 4, 2012, in Fort Worth. Memorial service: 2 p.m. Friday in Mountain Valley Funeral Home Chapel. Interment: Caddo Cemetery in Joshua. The services will be officiated by Carol's pastor, the Rev. Kent Heimbigner of Charity Lutheran Church of Burleson. Carol was born June 12, 1938, in Detroit, Mich. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend. Carol loved her church, her family, her grandchildren and daughters-in-law. She was a very talented, multi-faceted, gifted lady. Carol's recent personal interests included homemaking, cooking, gardening, sewing and researching her lineage to pass on to her heirs. Carol is lovingly referred to as a "cross between Martha Stewart and Betty Crocker" by those who love her. Her homemade baked beans, lemon bars and artisan craftings were known countywide and churchwide. Carol gladly and proudly volunteered her free time with the Boy Scouts, injured miltary veteran groups and various community groups. She was a member of the Jaycees, Christian Womens Association, Red Hat Society and Charity Lutheran Church of Burleson. Survivors: Sons, Stephen Crabtree and wife, Susan, of Burleson, Scott Edward Crabtree and wife, Kelly, of Joshua and Mark Crabtree and wife, April, of Joshua; grandchildren, Allison Frey and Stephanie Crabtree; great-grandchildren, Bailey, Taylor, Cameron, Owen and Kolby; and extended family and friends.
