Carolyn Francis (Cupps) Covey

Our Beloved Wife and Mother Carolyn Francis Covey passed away early Tuesday morning Aug 10, 2021, with her husband Ernest by her side, After a long fight with Parkinson’s and dementia, She was 81.

Carolyn Francis Cupps was born in Santa Anna Texas July 1, 1940, to RW and Clara Cupps, she was the oldest of three.  Carolyn was a loving Christian example to all, selfless, giving, kind and always cared about others more than herself.  Ernest and Carolyn were married at Bangs Church of Christ on August 23, 1958.  They met at an Elvis Presley concert.  This month Ernest and Carolyn would have celebrated 63 years of Marriage.   Carolyn was a full-time home maker and that allowed her to spend time with all of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Carolyn had many responsibilities in her life, one of which was as a devoted Elders wife.  She took great pride in serving alongside Ernest.

Many of us do not like to cook, Carolyn sure did.   Carolyn always enjoyed preparing new casseroles recipes with her family and friends.  Carolyn always enjoyed being in the kitchen cooking for her family and friends in need.  She took great joy in everything she did.  She loved spending time with her grandchildren watching them, playing, swimming in the lake, and playing cards and board games.   Carolyn was an accomplished painter, she loved reading, sewing and working in the garden enjoying her flowers.  At a moments notice she would drop everything to help others.

Carolyn Covey had Three Children.  Her Oldest was Jolinda Covey.  Jolinda oldest is Blake Carnes and wife Makenzy, and children Kellin and Rowan.  Next oldest is Jacinda Eason, and husband Ben, children are Scarlett and Jack.  Jolinda’s third child is Colton, wife Jessica, and children, Candon, Jenna and Joleigh.  Carolyn’s next oldest daughter is Renee Queen, husband Gentry, and children Trey Holder and Samantha Holder, children Cole, Kase and Jaxon.  Youngest is Michael Covey, wife Noreen, and children Carson and Carleigh.

Carolyn is survived by her husband Ernest Anderson Covey of Burleson Tx, her Sister Patsey Brooke of Brownwood Tx, brother Billy Don Cupps of Trickham Tx, Daughter Jolinda Covey of Burleson Tx, Daughter Reenee Queen of Bronson Tx and Son Michael Covey of Sienna Tx.   Carolyn was extremely proud of her 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents RW and Clara Cupps.  Carolyn was a proud Wife, Mother and Mema.  She was adored and will be missed by all who loved her.
