Carolyn Kelly

LUBBOCK -- Carolyn Kelly, 55, passed away Friday, Jan. 16, 2009, in Lubbock. Funeral: 10 a.m. Tuesday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home Chapel. Carolyn was born Aug. 30, 1953, in Lubbock. She was a loving daughter, aunt and friend. While living in Lubbock she worked at James Avery Craftsman Jewlery and was a member of First Baptist Church. Carolyn loved scrapbooking, Christian music and being with her friends and doing things for them. Her doctor said she was the most valiant patient he had ever known. She was preceded in death by her mother, Gypsy Kelly, and grandparents, Clarence and Evelyn Cooper. Survivors: Father, J.D. "Doby" Kelly and wife, Bobbie, of Burleson; sisters, Sandra Hester and husband, John, of Lubbock, Suzy Carpenter of Big Bear, Calif., Cindy Curry of Fort Worth, Nancy Watts and husband, Barry, of Grand Prairie; stepbrother, John A Jobe and wife, Susan, of Alvarado; nieces, April Falter and husband, Barrett, of Frisco, Kelly Watts of McKinney, Krystal Curry of Fort Worth, Gypsy Hester of Lubbock, Amber Carpenter of Big Bear, Calif.
