Cary Overton Newby Jr., 79, of Burleson, Texas, passed away Monday, Nov. 18, 2019.

He was born Dec. 1, 1939, in Alvarado, Texas, to Cary Overton Sr. and Hazel Elizabeth Newby.
Cary loved his grandkids and family, as well as sports and gambling.

He is survived by son, Gary Newby and wife, Judy, of Clinton, Arkansas; daughters, Joyce Strickland and husband, Randy, of Burleson and Darla Stubblefield and husband, Mark, of Burleson; grandchildren, Samantha, Alan, Andy, Gary, Carrie, Kevin and Amanda; great-grandchildren, Taylor, Zach, Cassie, Cole, Lexi, Stella, Myla, Hudson, Kinley, Drew, Seth and Ezra; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Beatrice; parents; one brother; and three sisters.
