Charles Douglas "Bubba" Tomme, 65 of Fort Worth, a retired salesman for Gearhart Industries, died Sunday Jan. 17, 2010 in Fort Worth. Funeral: 10 a.m. Thursday at the Burleson Church Of Christ. Interment: Caddo Cemetery in Joshua. Visitaton: 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorial daonations can be made to South Central Alliance, 2101 Hemphill St. Fort Worth, TX 76110 where Doug showed his love for his fellow man. Charles Douglas Tomme was born Oct. 5, 1944 in Fort Worth to Harold Ernest Jr. and Frances Ione Rhea Tomme. He married Judy Mae Holland on June 1, 2002 in North Richland Hills. Doug enjoyed surfing the web, was very creative, and loved being with family. He had a very strong faith in God, loved life, and was always doing things for other people. He always had a possitive attitude and was a great example for everyone. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Harold "Sonny" Tomme III in 2009. Survivors: Wife, Judy Tomme of Fort Worth; sons, David Tomme and wife Teri of Crowley, Joe Tomme of Fort Worth; daughter, Melissa Minix and husband Darren of North Richland Hills; sister, Karen Overton and husband John of Willow Park; grandchildren, Lauren Parker, Regan Tomme, Carter and Laney Minix; several nieces, nephews, and other family members.
