Charles Wayne Harrison

Charles “Charlie” Wayne Harrison passed away on Sunday, July 17, 2022, at the age of 85 in Crowley, Texas.

Charlie was born to Henry & Pearl Harrison on February 24, 1937.  He was a native Texan and spent his formative years throughout many small towns in and around North Texas.  While living in Bowie, Texas he met & married his former wife Ada Lou Jackson, they were married on June 2, 1956, and were married for 30 years.  They had 2 children: Stephannie & Sharon.

Charlie was a hardworking & loving father to his two children.  He loved coaching them in softball & cheering them on at their soccer, basketball, & volleyball games. He loved to camp with his family at Lake Texoma & in Tennessee.  In his later years, he brought smiles & laughter to children & seniors alike as he dressed up as Santa Claus & brought lots of Christmas cheer.

Charlie was preceded in death by his father Henry Alvin Harrison, mother Pearl Offutt Harrison and brother Kenneth Ray Harrison.

Charlie is survived by his daughters Stephannie Waller & husband Del, Sharon Marsh & husband Gregg, his grandson Beaven Waller, and his two beloved Nieces Cheryl Harrison Franklin & Phyllis Harrison DeGarmo.

A viewing is scheduled for 9 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 29 at Mountain Valley Funeral Home at 3407 SW Wilshire Blvd. in Joshua, Texas with a family burial in Perrin, Texas.
