It is with great sadness that the family of Charley Blount announces his passing after a long battle with cancer, on September 26, 2018 at the age of 66.
Charley will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 47 years, Tamara (Tammy) and his daughter Casey. Charley will also be fondly remembered by his three grandchildren, Christian Walker, Nathanial Walker, and Lilly Walker, by his brothers
Alford Blount of Amarillo Texas, John Blount of Amarillo Texas, Bobby Blount of Amarillo Texas, Robert Blount of Spearman Texas, by his sisters Geneva (Blount) Wheeler of Joshua Texas, Eula (Blount) McMahan of Whitney Texas, Cora (Blount) Metcalf of Whitney Texas, Joyce (Blount) Helzer of Chappell Nebraska, and Francis (Blount) Houghton of Julesburg, Colorado, and by 35 nieces/nephews, 52 great nieces/nephews, and 7 great great nieces/nephews. Charley was predeceased in death by his parents and Brother Odis Blount of Gruver Texas.
A grave side service will be held at 2pm, on Monday, October 1st, at Caddo Cemetery located at 6700 FM 1902, Joshua, Texas.
A reception will be held by the family at True Life Church, 301 S. Main St, Joshua, Texas after the service. Feel free to come and go as you please.
