Cheryl Lyn Sandifer, 50, a beloved wife, mother, sister and friend to many, went to be with her Lord and Savior on January 18th, 2013 in Burleson. Service: 2PM Tuesday, January 22, at Wedgwood Baptist Church, 5522 Whitman Ave., Ft. Worth, 76133. Visitation: 6-8PM Monday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home, Burleson. Interment: Burleson Memorial Park, 490 Memorial Plaza, Burleson, 76028. Cheryl was born July 30, 1962, in Ft. Worth. She married the love of her life, Doug Sandifer on March 2, 1985 in Tolar. She was a faithful member of Wedgwood Baptist Church, Ft. Worth. Cheryl never met a stranger, and always made it a point to remind everyone of their importance. She loved baking cakes to give away, and was affectionately known as "The Cake Lady". Cheryl also enjoyed serving others and making weekly visits to Joe T Garcia's-her favorite restaurant. In Lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society. She is preceded in death by her mother, Connie Wadlington, of Burleson, as well as her grandparents, Irben and Mary Fannin, of Joshua. Survivors: husband of 27 years, Doug Sandifer, of Burleson; daughter, Katie Miller, and husband Brian, of Houston; son Adam Sandifer, of Cleburne; brother, Todd Wadlington, and wife Tami, of Weatherford. Additionally, she leaves behind a host of friends, who she loved as her family.
