Christopher Wayne Kirkham

August 14, 1987 — December 4, 2022

Christopher Wayne Kirkham was born in Cleburne, TX on August 14, 1987 to Dana Daniels and he would later meet the greatest Dad a man could ask for Dray Morton. Chris passed away Sunday afternoon on December 4th, 2022 and left this life's journey to join with the many friends and relatives he will be with at the gates of Heaven.
Chris grew up in Burleson, TX with his sister Nicole in their home on Bufford, next to the family monument business. Across the street from his home was Nola Dunn Elementary which he attended and abused their playground daily, both during and after school. He spent most of his free time as a kid climbing around on monuments just beyond his back yard, raiding his Uncle Richard and Aunt Dales businesses mini fridge for soft drinks, and dreaming of dominating the gridiron with a football in his hand.
He attended Burleson High School as a star running back, as myths and legends filled the hallways of his dominance on the field. Some would say he might have scored five hundred touchdowns before ever making it to BHS. After High School, Chris started on his adult journey out in Plano with his Uncle Kevin and developed a passion as a meat cutter. He would spend the next several years like most young men, trying to put it all together, before finding a path to a new life out in Houston, TX.
In 2014 he was introduced to Kimberly Yancy through his roommate in Houston and instantly they became inseparable. They began building their lives together as he built a new career as a machinist and in 2016 they brought into the world an amazing little girl, Kaylee Lynn Kirkham. In 2017 Chris and Kimberly officially tied the knot, as family became his everything, and he evolved from being Christopher to just wanting to be KK's Dad. When he wasn't on the floor doing Tea Parties, he spent his time enjoying all things Texas Sports, specifically Cowboys, Mavericks, Rangers, and Stars. He had a passion and love for music and enjoyed reading and podcasts on topics like philosophy and spirituality. He will be remembered as a loving father and husband, an only son, a big brother, a favorite grandson, nephew, uncle, and cousin, and a best friend.
He is survived by his wife Kimberly Kirkham and daughter Kaylee Lynn Kirkham.
His mother Dana and father Dray of Cleburne, TX.
Sister Nicole Malone and wife Sarah of Haltom City, TX
Grandmother and grandfather Karen and Ed Miller of Burleson, TX.
Uncle Kevin Daniels of Burleson, TX and Aunt Marla Kelly of Burleson, TX.
Mother and father in law, Roger and Karen Yancy of League City, TX
Their son Ryan Yancy, his wife Sudipta, and their children Brandon and Caitlin of Katy, TX.
And many many other family  members that will greatly miss him.
Chris lived his life as a simple man, may his spirit guide us on our journey, until we meet again.
