Claris Ann Cox, age 81, passed away peacefully May 12, 2020 due to cancer and congestive heart failure. She was born July 21, 1938 in Whitney, Texas to James David and Mary Ellen Crow.
Claris was proud to have been a part of the community of Burleson, Texas. Her greatest joy was her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was able to complete her high school education and certification at the Fort Worth School of Business. Many people knew her from her years of working as Assistance Manager at Mitchell’s Department Store in Burleson, Texas. She later changed companies and began working as a Payroll and Accounts Payable processor.
She was a long-time member of Calvary Baptist Church, Burleson, Texas.
Claris is proceeded in death by her daughter, Susan Cox. Claris is survived by her brother and his wife, Charles Wayne and Jimmie Crow, sisters-in-law Cynthia Parsons and Sherrie Crow, her son and his wife, Kenneth and Barbara Cox, daughter Janice Cox Smith and son Ray Cox; grandchildren, Kasey Cox Bryant, Colte Smith, Paden Smith and Clint Cox plus 9 great grandchildren and many nephews and nieces. All of these she loved deeply.
