Clifton Eugene Robnett, 85, a retired minister, passed away Tuesday, April 18, 2006, in Burleson. Funeral: 1 p.m. Saturday at Burleson Church of the Nazarene, 127 SW Thomas St., Burleson. Burial: 4:30 p.m. in Shiloh Cemetery near Klondike. Visitation: 7-9 p.m. Friday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home in Burleson. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Rev. Clifton Robnett Memorial Scholorship Fund, in care of Burleson Church of the Nazarene, 127 SW Thomas St., Burleson, Texas 76028. Mr. Robnett was born April 11, 1921, in Klondike. He was educated in Cooper, Bethany Nazarene College in Bethany, Okla., and Nazarene Theological Seminary in Kansas City, Mo. He was a loving and faithful husband, father, son and brother. He married Ruby Ellen Fulton on Dec. 24, 1940. To this union were born two sons, C. Ray and Don, and a daughter, Sherry. Clifton spent his life as a minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ in the Church of the Nazarene. His first pastorate was in Bryan. Later he pastored in Kansas City, Mo., Warrensburg, Mo., and Mount Vernon, Ill., before returning to Texas and pastoring in Burleson and Tyler, where he retired in 1986. After his retirement, he continued serving the church in Burleson as music minister and visitation minister. He was preceded in death by his parents, the Rev. Bruce and Emma Robnett; his brothers, Riley, Elbert, Eldon, R.B. and Ray; and one sister, Effie Moore. Survivors: Wife, Ruby; sons, C. Ray and wife, Lynn, of Bethany, Okla., and Don and wife, Jan, of Denver, Colo.; daughter, Sherry Burton and husband, Lyle, of Crowley; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters, Jane Hartman of Commerce and Audrey Little of Austin; many nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
