(Bud) Clyde Warren Davis Jr., 80, of Burleson, went to be with the Lord August 10, 2017. Visitation: 6-9PM Saturday, August 12th at Mountain Valley Funeral Home. Graveside Service: 10:15AM Tuesday, August 15th at DFW National Cemetery in Grand Prairie. In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to Pathway Church missions in Burleson. Bud was born January 13, 1937 in Cleburne, to Clyde and Eleanor Davis. He served in the United States Air Force, where he met the love of his life, Linda McNulty, who also served in the Air Force. They married April 26, 1959 in Bono, TX. Bud worked for Texas Steel for several years, then he began a 43-year career as an engineer for the Santa Fe Burlington Northern Railroad. He retired in 1999 and enjoys spending time with family, grand kids, and his dog. Bud loved serving his neighbors with meals and fresh vegetables out of his garden. He and his wife were faithful servants of the Lord and served at Pathway Church in Burleson. Bud was preceded in death by his mother, Eleanor Shelley; step-father, Edgar Shelley; father, Clyde Warren Davis Sr.; step-mother, Francis Davis; younger brother, Tommy Shelley; great-niece, Taylor Mankins; brother-in-love, Jr. M.G. Powell. Survivors: wife, Linda Davis; daughters, Sherry Cate and husband, Jimmy, Tracey Coontz and husband, David; sons, Joe Davis and wife, Alisha, Doug Davis and wife, Laura; grandchildren, Joel Cate and wife, Amanda, Jared Cate and wife, Elizabeth, Lindey Coontz, Ashley Graves and husband, Roger, Kyle Davis, Drew Davis, Brooke Davis, Hunter Scribner, Trapper and Bo Davis; great-grandchildren, Oliver and Reese Cate; sisters, Ada Powell, Sharron Mason and husband, Ralph, Carol Weatherford and husband, Skip; brother, Don Davis and wife, Martha; sister-in-law, Marlene Shelley; numerous nieces and nephews.
