BURLESON -- Curtis Tarver, 60, a machinist, self-employed craftsman, security guard and collector of many things, died Friday, Sept. 1, 2006, at his residence. Funeral: 10 a.m. Monday in Mountain Valley Funeral Home Chapel in Burleson. Burial: Marystown Cemetery in Joshua. Visitation: 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home. Curtis Ramsey Tarver was born Dec. 14, 1945, in Shreveport, La., to Ernie Lester and Mary Lou Ramsey Tarver. He married Diana Evans on Aug. 26, 1963, in Fort Worth. He was a member of Marystown Baptist Church in Joshua. Curtis liked to hunt and fish, and collected guns and knives. He had a fireworks stand on FM 731 for over 20 years. The family would like to thank all the nurses at Baylor All Saints third floor oncology who cared for Curtis during his battle with leukemia. He was preceded in death by his father in 1995. Survivors: Wife of 43 years, Diana Tarver of Burleson; sons, Mickel Curtis Tarver of Burleson and Cody Shane Tarver and wife, Jennifer of Burleson; daughter, Gina Lynn Junge and husband, Mark of Burleson; mother, Mary Lou Tarver of Burleson; grandchildren, Christopher and wife, Robyne, Steven, Brian, Brittany, Anthony and Lona "Charlie"; six great-grandchildren; and many other family members and friends.
