Dale A. Johnston

JOSHUA - Dale A. Johnston, 93, passed away Monday, July 30, 2012, in Cleburne. Private family service at DFW National Cemetery, Grand Prairie. Family to receive friends 6-8 PM, Wednesday, August 1, 2012, at Mountain Valley Funeral Home, Burleson. Born April 12, 1919 in Comanche, Texas, Dale was 1 of 9 children born to Bailey Marshall Johnston and Lucy Mae Janes. A WWII Army veteran, he served in the South Pacific and was awarded the Bronze Star and various other medals and ribbons. He was a farmer, rancher, a 40 year employee of Forth Worth Steel Machinery. He was a friend to many. Dale was a beloved dad, grand dad, great-grand dad, and great-great-grand dad. Survived by sister, Rosa Lee Davis; children, Wershiel Halford Johnston, and wife, Janet, Billy Dale Johnston, and wife, Norma, Norman Gale Johnston, Debbie Eakin, and husband David, and Barbara Estes Killam and husband Sam.
