Dannie Marie Cross, 84, of Burleson, passed away Friday, March 03, 2017. Funeral Service: 1PM Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at Bethesda Baptist Church. Visitation: 4-6PM Sunday, March 5th, Mountain Valley Funeral Home. Interment: Burleson Memorial Park. Dannie was born June 10, 1932 in Burleson to Myron and Ida (Ash) Smith. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Dannie was an avid Texas Rangers fan. She loved writing and even had one of her poems published in Reader's Digest. Dannie loved her church and church family. She loved her Bluebell ice cream. Dannie is preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, J.W. Cross, and grandson, Jeffrey Cross. Survivors: daughter, Laurie Cross Davis and husband, Gary of Whitney; sons, J.W. Cross Jr. and wife, Christine of Azle, Eddie Cross of Burleson, Jeff Cross and wife Leasa of Crowley; sister, Emma Jo Prince of San Diego; grandchildren, Jarrod Cross and wife, Jen of Dallas, Josh Cross and wife, Jill of Austin, Kristy Dixon of Whitney, Timothy Davis and wife, Ana of Los Angeles, CA, Kody Cross and wife, Lindsay of Chino Valley, AZ, Kris Cross and wife, Emily of Crowley; 12 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren.
