David Ray Harvey born April 1st, 1943, passed away March 9th, 2022, at the age of 78 in Crowley, Texas.
David graduated from Stuttgart American High School in Germany in 1961, he joined the United States Air Force shortly thereafter. David was a proud Air Force veteran whose time in the 1957th Communications Group served as a foundation for his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas Arlington in 1980.
David married Marilyne in 1974 they celebrated their 47th wedding anniversary this past November.
David worked at Bell Helicopter Textron for 38 years starting out in production. After completion of his degree, he advanced as a Staff Avionics Engineer until his retirement in 2006.
After Retirement David focused on spending time with family, especially spoiling his grandchildren, pursuing his hobbies of photography, flying drones, traveling, and baseball card collecting.
David is preceded in death by his stepfather Charles Cotton, mother Mary Cotton, and sister Shirley Crudgington. David is survived by wife Marilyne, son Keith and wife Josie, grandchildren Amelia and Phillip, son Kelby, brother Clarence, sister Linda and husband Robert, sister-in-law Barbara Jones, brother from another mother Gary Lester a number of nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and his best fur bud Jaxson.
A celebration of life gathering will take place from 2:00 - 4:00 PM on Saturday April 2, 2022 at The James Event Center, 1524 S Broadway St, Joshua, TX 76058 (www.thejamesevents.com/).
Interment will be at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery at a private family ceremony.
