David Harold Jewett

David Harold Jewett was born in Burleson, Texas, on January 1, 1939, to Herbert and Gladys Jewett. He passed away peacefully at his home Monday, April 5, 2021.

Service: 2 p.m. Thursday, April 8, at the Mountain Valley Funeral Home Chapel. Interment: Bethesda Cemetery. Visitation: One hour before the service.

David grew up on the Jewett family farm with his parents and three siblings, Doris Vera Mae and Joe.

David graduated from Burleson High School in 1957. He retired from Texas Steel in Fort Worth and also IMS in Midlothian. He had a great love for horses and enjoyed hunting and riding motorcycles.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Gladys Jewett, Ersie Lea Jewett and sister, Vera Moore.

He is survived by his wife, Melba Jewett; sons, Wade and Lee Jewett; daughter, Paula Jewett; sister, Doris O’Toole; brother Joe (Ann) Jewett; granddaughter, Tara (George) Quinn; and six great-grandchildren.

David will be missed and forever in our hearts.
