David Alan Mcatee

David Alan McAtee, 65, passed away March 12, 2015, in a Fort Worth hospital. Service: 11:00 AM, Monday, March 16, 2015 Mountain Valley Funeral Home. Interment: Tye Cemetery Burleson. Visitation: 6-8 PM, Sunday at the funeral home. Officiating, Pastor Paul Gunn. David was born June 30, 1949, in Fort Smith, Arkansas to J.D. and Regina (Powell) McAtee. He loved traveling to Europe and Hawaii. David lived a life of service to others. People regarded him as one of the kindest, most gentle people they had ever known. He was loved by all. There never was a truer person called to caregiving as a nurse and friend. Many people throughout years thought they had "just met an angel". David was preceded in death by: brother, Phillip and sister, Brenda. Survivors: son, David Brandon McAtee; mother, Regina Hudgins and husband David E.; sister, Teresa McGill and husband John David; longtime friend and companion, Barry Phillips; 1st wife, Johnnie McAtee; nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
