Dennis E. Godwin

Dennis E. Godwin, 89, of Burleson passed away Saturday, Aug. 16, 2014. Service: 2 p.m. Monday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home Chapel. Interment: Caddo Cemetery, Joshua. Visitation: Noon to 2 p.m. Monday prior to service. Dennis was born Feb. 6, 1925, in Gordonville to the late Abzine and Lola Crane Godwin. He owned Godwin Appliance in Joshua for 40 years. Dennis was preceded in death by two brothers, Carleton and Billy Bob Godwin. Survivors: Wife, Kay Godwin; daughter, Gaila Godwin Pertuset; Larry D. Godwin; stepchildren, Rocky, Shelley, Tammy and Lisa Bransom; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother, A.Z. and wife, Ann. He was loved by many other extended family and friends.
