Dennis Wayne Gray, 64, passed away peacefully on October 29, 2010 at his home in Joshua, Texas after a courageous battle with cancer. Dennis was born on May 12, 1946 in Cleburne. Dennis graduated from LD Bell High School in 1964 and then entered military service with the Air Force. Dennis served four years in the Air Force and then went on to work for a number of communications technology companies in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. Dennis moved to Austin, Texas in 1988 where he worked for Broadwing/Level 3 for 21 years. Dennis was an avid gun collector and historian. Dennis is survived by his wife, Karmen Hill Gray of Joshua, Texas; two sons, John Gray and wife, Karis, of Frisco, Texas, and Jeremy Gray and wife, Karla, of Irving, Texas; mother, Gladys Leonard of Joshua, Texas; brother, Phil Gray of Joshua, Texas; sister Cindy Ernest and husband, Carey of Granbury, Texas; five grandchildren, Megan Gray of Gainesville, Florida, Meredith, Miracle and McKenna Gray of Frisco, Texas and Hunter Gray of Irving, Texas; as well as numerous other family and friends. A memorial service honoring Dennis will be held at Mountain Valley Funeral Home in Joshua, Texas on Sunday, November 7, 2010 at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Community Hospice of Texas or the SPCA of North Texas.
