Dennis Gerald McClure, 57, of Fort Worth, a teacher passed away Wed. February 15, 2012. Memorial Service: 3 pm Friday Feb. 24, 2012 at First Baptist Church of Burleson. Interment: 10 am Friday Feb. 24, 2012 at Ridge Park Cemetery in Hillsboro. Visitation: 6-8 pm Thursday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home in Joshua. Dennis was born July 6, 1954 in Hillsboro to Sugar Bill and Mary Moore McClure. He was a loving husband, father, brother and friend. Dennis was an avid reader and lifelong learner. He loved film, history and the Lord. He was passionate about teaching and was a great example and leader. Dennis also loved acting, genealogy , opera , walking with his wife and anything having to do with his children and family. Dennis was preceded in death by his father Bill McClure. Survivors: Wife, Leigh Ann McClure of Fort Worth; children, Kate McClure of Fort Worth, Michelle Joseph and husband Floyd of Fort Worth, Michael McClure of New York City, NY. ; brother, David McClure and wife Judie of Itasca; sister, Janet Mormon and husband Danny of Georgetown; mother, Mary McClure of Burleson; nieces and nephews, Stephanie Harris and husband Chris of Itasca, Ashley Cripe and husband Billy of Hewitt, Lt Jacob Mormon and wife Amanda of South Lake N.C., Meredith Mormon of Georgetown; great nieces and nephews, Jesse Harris of Itasca, Liam Cripe of Hewitt; In -Laws, Harold and Wilma Dorsey of Waxahachie; brother in law, Stu Dorsey of Red Oak.
